– Operating Principle –

The AM 3000 is an autonomous air sampler specifically designed to meet the constraints and requirements of fieldwork. Compact and highly robust, it benefits from numerous technological innovations that guarantee a representative sampling of asbestos fibers or other fine particles in the air. Meeting the requirements of NF X43-050, NF X43-269, and NF EN ISO 13137 standards, it ensures sampling for MOCP (2 L/min) and META (7 L/min) analyses.

The AM 3000 is robust, easy to handle, and stackable. Usable in both horizontal and vertical operations, it is suitable for office environments (very quiet) as well as indoor or outdoor construction zones. It is rain-resistant and can be decontaminated with a water jet thanks to its IP65 protection rating. To avoid internal contamination, the casing is sealed, and the intake is equipped with a self-sealing quick connector.

– Remote Control Operation –

The AM 3000 is fully programmable and can be remotely configured using an infrared remote control. A single remote control can operate all samplers. The AM 3000 is supplied with two remote controls (including one spare).

– Direct Data Accessibility –

Thanks to the USB output, the operator can retrieve data in a computer file format (.CVS compatible with Excel) on a USB stick. With its USB/micro-USB cable (available on request) and a text file reader or spreadsheet application like Excel, the file containing all the sampling details can be consulted on a smartphone directly on-site.

– Complete Autonomy with an Integrated Protected Battery –

With its integrated lithium battery, the AM 3000 operates completely autonomously. Its waterproof charger is decontaminable. The device can be used on mains power and recharge the battery simultaneously during sampling. In the event of a mains power cut, it will automatically switch to the battery without interrupting the sampling.

The battery is enclosed in a protective aluminum casing, protecting it from impact and puncture risks. It enhances thermal stability and minimizes the risk of thermal runaway.

A shock indicator is positioned on the battery and also on the outside of the device. In the event of a shock sensitivity of 100 G (equivalent to a fall from about one meter), the indicator turns red, showing poor treatment of the device and possible damage to internal components. The user is then advised to return the device for service.

– Secure Sampling –

Sampling is secured by continuous monitoring of the air flow. If there is a significant deviation from the set flow rate (due to aerodynamic circuit problems or tampering), the device goes into safety mode and stops the sampling to protect the pump. The fault is recorded and accessible on the display and the CSV file.

– FAQ –

How does the AM 3000 ensure the safety of the sampling process?

Sampling is secured through continuous air flow monitoring. In case of a significant deviation from the set flow rate (due to an issue in the aerodynamic circuit or tampering), the device switches to safety mode, stopping the sampling to protect the pump. The fault is recorded and can be reviewed on the display and in the CSV file.

How does the AM 3000 alert users in case of potential damage or mishandling?

The device is equipped with a shock indicator located on both the battery and the exterior of the device. If the device undergoes a shock equivalent to a fall of about one meter, the indicator turns red, signaling potential internal component damage and the need for service.

What ensures the autonomy and safety of the AM 3000’s battery?

The AM 3000 operates in complete autonomy thanks to its integrated lithium battery. The battery is encased in a protective aluminum housing, improving thermal stability and minimizing the risk of thermal runaway. In case of a power outage, the device will automatically switch to battery mode without interrupting the sampling.

How can users access the AM 3000’s sampling data?

Users can retrieve data in a computer file format (.CVS compatible with Excel) via a USB output. Additionally, using a USB/micro-USB cable and a text file reader or spreadsheet application like Excel, the file containing all the sampling details can be reviewed directly on a smartphone on site.

How does the AM 3000 ensure user convenience during operation?

The AM 3000 is fully programmable and can be remotely configured using an infrared remote control. A single remote control can operate all samplers, and the AM 3000 comes with two remote controls, including one backup.

What is the primary purpose of the AM 3000?

The AM 3000 is an autonomous air sampler specifically designed to meet the constraints and requirements of fieldwork. It ensures a representative sampling of asbestos fibers or other fine particles in the air, in accordance with NF X43-050, NF X43-269, and NF EN ISO 13137 standards.
