– Operating Principle –
The H3R 7000 samples tritium in the form of water vapor through a process of cryogenizing the water vapor present in the ambient air.
Simultaneously, the H3R 7000 measures and automatically calculates the absolute humidity of this air to accurately determine the amount of water present per m3 of air, expressed as absolute humidity in g/m3 or ml/m3 of air.
On average, less than forty minutes are needed to collect a sufficient amount of water for the delayed measurement of the tritium activity of this water by liquid scintillation counting.
